Hello, Folks I have to talk about this cost of postage, the postage is getting more costly every week and I’ve been told it’s not stopping, everybody that sells is in a different boat, I live here in Pennsylvania, consequently when I ship to California it’s going to cost more than if I ship to Ohio, so for me to treat everyone the same, I charge everyone regardless of where they are buying from the same postage cost, I refund the over paid postage cost to you my buying customer, I print the cost on the postage label for you folks to see what the postage cost for your purchase, the insurance cost is NOT shown, it’s my expense, I usually have to pay more out of my pocket for this shipping cost, I try to help my customers in every way I can.
I am Terry Mackey from Carlisle, Pennsylvania. You may have seen my merchandise somewhere in the New England area, as far West as Indianapolis, Indiana, as far south as Mt. Dora, Florida, to Nashville Tennessee, and all the other good shows in between, with my home base being in the Northgate Antique Center in Carlisle, Pennsylvania; Needless to say I live in a ware-house of antique glass, china, miniature lamps, slag table lamps, and numerous china closets filled to the gills; I also have a two story building that is out of control, shelving is six shelves high around the top and bottom of my store age building. Being in the business of buying and selling over forty years and not a collector of any merchandise things tend to pile up, I would buy ten of everything if the price is right.
I do not travel the show circuit any more but I do the largest show ever, I have a store and sell on EBAY selling under the name of TLM645. I only sell with “buy it now” prices and feel as though I am treating everyone very fairly, everyone pays the same price when you find the item and I usually help you with the the shipping cost, I do not play games here on my EBAY store, my price is what it is to all.
I have been buying my merchandise since 1974, over a forty-year period, I have never bought as a collector, and everything I buy gets a price tag to sell to a customer. My thrill in this business is to sell a good item to a customer who is hungry for a good item for their collection. Lets face it, we never forget where we found or bought a good item of merchandise. Here’s a cutie, I don’t believe in rare items, just tough, tough things to find, but then there’s the Internet, (who ever heard of making only (1) item in glass or china?)
I now have a NEW web site with lots of photos of my merchandise, I am photograph crazy, I very seldom get an e-mail, I show many photos with measurements of what I am selling. As the saying goes a picture is worth a thousand words. I can not get over the number of people who view my merchandise on my web site as well as viewing my merchandise selling on EBAY. Folks I am in complete control of my store on EBAY, my merchandise is only listed on EBAY for a thirty day period, I constantly list new merchandise and have a rolling inventory listed on EBAY with at least three hundred items listed a day, usually ten items are removed daily and ten items are relisted with hopefully a new item listed daily (believe you me this is a job and a half).
I have to admit at this young age I am, I am also getting ready for all good things to come to an end, I am trying to get all my crap together and it is a job because I can not quit the buying, but after all this is a good place to advertise for my ending…….over a thousand pieces of carnival glass, over a thousand pattern glass goblets in clear and color, very nice selection of victorian clear and colored Early American Pattern Glass, very nice selection of miniature lamps, and over thirty slag table lamps. I also like to buy china closets, drop leaf tables, marble top stands, corner cubboards and all other good furniture.
I will ship International but you have to contact me thru EBAY on the listing, this mainly has to do with the shipping cost.
The shipping cost is getting out of control for me and also for anyone else selling on EBAY, I have helped a lot of my sales with the postage cost in the past and will continue to do so, I try to treat everyone the same, I am shipping from the state of Pennsylvania and when the sale goes all the way across the country the sale shipping cost gets more expensive, when I charge a flat rate price for the sale shipping cost I RETURN the over paid shipping cost to you the BUYER, I print my shipping cost on the postage label so you the customer can see what it cost, BUT the insurance cost is not included, the insurance cost is a hidden cost for me to pay, I do anything in my power to help the buying customer.
